Only In My Heart
You seem to be here
Hiding in my shadow
Often you feel so real
That I feel your breath
But you only exist in my mind,
my heart and my dreams
Sometimes you seem so real
That I believe you are alive
So you have become
A strong advisor
A close friend
A true love

Hi Emma - I love this - it is elegant - just like you. On PH we share cerebrally and we exist in each others minds. This cerebral relationship is wonderful because it transcends space - time - age - culture and allows a very objective appraisal of each others poems. To each other we are Strong Advisors (although our critique is gentle) . and we become - through verbal interaction Close Friends. Your poem explores a more transient and ephemeral 'supporter' an Angel perhaps. There is an analogy with our relationship (you and I) after one gentle exchange. There is another level which involves the Heart and our Dreams and by mutual exchange and understanding we become a True Love which is awesome.
