Only Night Cries Poem by James Charles Hutsell ( Aka Butch )

Only Night Cries

Spring's reign still fell to summer's sun,
All ablaze 'till black nights come,
In the guard of a sentinel,
Round in the sky,
White mimed Moon-Face to make me cry.
All the falling stars, it's tears...
Night cries for you're not here.

I thought, My Love, the days might cease,
All Spring's green, never complete.
That Summer's sun might wait to be,
Patiently, for you and me.
But summer's sun still circles round,
The mimed Moon-Face still stares down.
Starry tears still fall above...
Night cries for you, My Love.

All the birds still came with song.
Winter wondered, then was gone,
That flowers might dance,
And skies might blue,
Coloring romance for me and you.

But Spring gave way... her reign no more,
To a Summer's sun like before.
It's not the same,
I begged it wait...
Now night cries, for it's too late.

For Spring was black,
Now, summer too.
All days are nights without you...
Only Night Cries...

Only Night Cries...
