Opposing Forces Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Opposing Forces

You should want to be,
At your best when tested.

Those who do,
Get no rest to pester.

And those who don't,
Agonize to manifest unrest...
Somewhere allowed.

You should want to be,
At your best when tested.

Those who do,
Get no rest to pester.

And those who don't,
Agonize to manifest unrest...
Somewhere allowed,
To be carried out.

As divisions join opposing forces,
To ensure taxpaid dollars...
Are freely spent by police,
Called to fleece a few folks...
While getting over duty pay to referee.
