Orange Appeal Poem by khalil Majlaton

Orange Appeal

As I board the train at six thirty in the morning
I made it just in time even though it's pouring
you're sitting right there as you always are
just like me, first row, second car

We both ride the orange line to get to where we're going
and since I've seen you I get the vibe that you're knowing
that you could get a real good feeling from me
I think it's about time I step to you and see

What should I say? thoughts wandered through my mind.
'Hey girl, how you doin'? '' or 'Baby, we should grind'
what am I thinking? she would never go for that!
I need something smooth that will make her sit back
and think about the words that I had just said
put a smile on her face and make her turn red

As I finally lean in to voice the things I put together
her girlfriend says 'she already knows that you sweat her'
what could I do, now I'm the one smiling
she bats her lashes at me with looks so beguiling

we both just laughed and she starts the conversation
'Why don't we both get off together, at the next station'?
