Orange Crush Poem by Charles Thomas Carter

Orange Crush

I think I am older than I have ever felt
the strain upon my shoulders begins
heavier and heavier
with each passing word
spoken with exactness
in subtlety,
surgeoning the synchronized
swim in the sink your eyes
begin to fall beyond
the letters they begin
flowing from thoughts
to hands
to fingertips
and a plethora of inbetween
inks blots the stain
and I must wash away
de-matter-ize
bell on bell
times sounding
vector purchasing
I am in the FIRE.
