Orion Poem by Sophia White

Orion

Rating: 5.0

There stood Orion.
And I, earthbound,
Left alone to merely
Gaze.

How could a child
Love a star?
Oh, how I loved
Him.

But now, I smile
As at an old friend
To my starlit
Love.

For I dream of far-off
Stars no more.
I have found Orion on
Earth.

Obviously you had stars in your eyes when you wrote this. You are a Star yourself. I love the transition from heaven to earth, making earth a heaven.
