Vrijheid heeft nodig
sterke benen
en de wil
hen die dit
ontberen
te leren
haar beter
te dragen...

Vrijheid heeft nodig
dat men luistert
omdat het mag
dat men spreekt
uit wat men
keuze noemt...

Vrijheid is een
persoonlijkheid
van achter tralies
zelfs straalt
een donk're plek
in eenzaamheid
verwarmt...

Vrijheid is
die witte rij
van tanden
de blijdschap blij
die plots men vind
op het gezicht
volwassen kind
van 37 jaar
zojuist
16 geworden...

poet Sarah Flower Adams

O Love! thou makest all things even
In earth or heaven;
Finding thy way through prison-bars
Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
