Oskar Hansen's Bridge Over Troubled Waters Poem by Sidi Mahtrow

Oskar Hansen's Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Progressive historians are those
Who forget what they choose
And remember to embellish
What they wish.

They say, 'justice is blind'
But this is just another way to put out of mind
The events that went before
So they select what to ignore?

Mary Jo Kopechne's fame as accident victim
Of Ted Kennedy grows dim
But the events on the 'Bridge over troubled waters'
Will be remembered by otherwise doubters.
