Otherways Poem by rawden lewis

Otherways

well I meant to write you letters
One for each and all my days
But what's the use in writing letters
When you cannot turn a phrase
So I gave up letter writing
Like I almost gave up hoping
You'd be back beside me
And I'd show my love in other ways

Then I thought I'd paint your picture
In your colours bright eyed blaze
But my brush was only touching
When the colours changed to greys
So I gave up picture painting
Like I almost gave up hoping
You'd be back beside me
And I'd show my love in other ways

Then I tried to sing a ballad
For the girl whose got it made
But I could not chord the guitar
You know how bad I played
So I gave up guitar plucking
Like I almost gave up hoping
You'd be back beside me
And I'd show my love in other ways
