Our Air Poem by Foster Teegarden

Our Air

Darling, can you see us, Eve of Christmas by kindling,
kissing with the moonlight peering in brightly shining.
Now I could imagine both our engines lighting up the night.
What would you say to moving closer? Come on over, and I'll show you my way.

As we meet in perfect unity.
Chest to chest, grand humanity.
Bringing us, even just, as a new found team.
Wouldn't this be full of bliss if it wasn't just my dream?

I'm flying, not sleeping, without but one care,
that we may be so gay in a moment we share.
The hilltops, the street pops with light as I stare
into your beating core, so preciously rare.

Darling, I can take you all the way through exploring,
finding where we feel like having our tyke, uniting.

With the world that we've found so harmonizing,
take my hand, just this once, and I will bring
you to a whole new world of care and loving.
Don't make me have to plea for your breathing
into my soul.

I'm flying, not sleeping, without but one care,
that we may be so gay in a moment we share.
The hilltops, the street pops with light as I stare
into your beating core, so preciously rare.

But you don't see it this way.
I'm just dead weight to carry.
You want your life to vary
from love to love in company.
I have traveled this highway
just to give what you'll take away.
I'll give you what is humanly
possible.

I'm flying, not sleeping, without but one care,
that we may be so gay in a moment we share.
The hilltops, the street pops with light as I stare
into your beating core, so preciously rare.

I'm finding - no, darling - that there is no care
in your heart. May I start saying a prayer?
For those few before you that I did not dare
give a thought, even plot, to have an affair.

Sorry for hunting for more than my fair share
in my life. What a strife to find a destined pair
of people. They're ample for us to never
find a love. Look above and we'll find our air.
