Our Brake Up Day: My Day Off Poem by Claude Davis III

Our Brake Up Day: My Day Off

I guess I was just too reckless.
You broke up with me and threw away my gift.
My beautiful diamond necklace.
Now I can dropp my night shift.

I don't even need to work.
There is nothing I have to buy now.
I can quit my second job as a mail clerk.
Just cause we broke our vow.

No need for extra cash.
Why need money,
When you have no honey?
My piggy bank, I wont have to smash.

You leaving me,
Is like a load off my back.
You may disagree,
But now I can finally just hit the sack.
