Our Last Song Poem by Kayte Stacy

Our Last Song

I step side to side,
(It's the last song)
The music's slow, I start to cry.
(It's our last song)
I held on to him for so long,
(That was the last song)
He never felt the same, I was wrong.
(That was our last song)
Please stay,
(One more song?)
Don't turn away.
(Please. Dance with me...)
I'll always love you,
(So won't you stay?)
I've always been true...
(Please, don't leave me.)
But I think that you've changed...
(Maybe it is time for you to go)
You're not who you once were...
(I don't feel like dancing...)
Your not the same.
(It's just not a night to sway.)
You can't be who you said...
(You used to dance diffrently)
It can't be all in my head...
(Our music's gotten old)
I've changed too,
(It's time for me to go)
I think I've gotten over you
(I never did like dancing)
