Our Love Will See Us Through Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

I turn to tell you something,
Of no consequence, I am sure,
Eyes bright, and face all a-glow,
With a smile from ear to ear.

Then…. I realize, I am alone.
You are not there, you are gone.
I am sad and for a moment,
My eyes fill with tears.

But I choose not to let them fall,
Our separation won’t last, it is temporary.
Our love will see us through this trial,
And your return will be that much sweeter.

I choose to be your wife,
No distance can that erase.
We knew what we were getting into,
When we decided to run this race.

I love you with all of my heart,
That is what this, is all about.
When you come home,
We will renew our love again.

And be together for many years.
We will love from our hearts,
Speak with our minds,
And do whatever it takes.

After the last seven years, my love,
I am yours, and you are mine.
