Our Past Poem by Jennifer Jarrell

Our Past

Thinking back to our past.
Some memories linger and last.
You were there to care for me and let me stay.
When all others had pushed me away.
I remember the way you held me at night.
With your embrace so tight.
At one time we loved one another so much.
Never wanting to wait for the others touch.
Some how this all turned to hate.
Even when we thought we were the others fate.
It's come to a horrible end.
For what we've done to one another, we can never mend.
You, I no longer blame.
But it's true we blew out our flame.
Bad memories, shows a new light.
For us to be together just isn't right.
A part of my heart for you will always ache.
It's been proven a relationship we cannot make.
I will hold on to the times that were okay.
It has come time for us to go a seperate way.
Even true love don't always last.
We are now each others past
