Our Plans Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Our Plans

Sitting down relaxing,
Gathering together my thoughts,
Planning my day precisely,
Will all my plans come to nought?

Funny, how things happen,
Whatever we plan to do,
Actions or inactions of others
Always frustrate our plans too.

Many the times that I wonder,
Why bother to plan my day?
When plans ‘go out of the window’
Whatever my intentions, come what may.

I know I’ve got to go shopping,
My Shaver needs heads urgently,
Be back for an appointment later,
Will delay embarrass me?

Planning my movements precisely,
Why do I bother at all?
When delays and timings of others,
Will, surely, plan my downfall.

Most of your rhymes work pretty well. I like 'my shaver needs heads...' I've heard the best way to make God laugh is to tell Him our plans.
