Our Rose Garden Poem by Michael Peterson

Our Rose Garden

Life is like a rose garden
The ground is our birth
Seeds are the learning years
The fertilizer is our growth
As the year progresses the flowers grow
Stems, the many roads we take
Thorns, all the bumps along the way
Leaves the many options we could make
Petals, our lives in full bloom
The silkiness of life itself
The circle the petals create the togetherness of family
One by one the petals fall
The lost of life in all of us
The rain and water are the tears of loss and joy
The sun the warmth and love of life
That we all try to reach in our lives
For every rose represents a part of our life
Good or bad, every rose is a part of us
The garden is our life from beginning to the end
Each garden is different from the other
But it full fills our lives to be complete
To intertwine and build together
May our rose gardens grow healthy and together
Our roses grow into one with love
