Our Universal Womb Poem by Louie Levy

Our Universal Womb

Once, when time was upon nothing more
than itself and matter was yet to be conceived...
The universe lay barren as a vast Womb in space.

Time, fatherly impregnating and space conceiving -
their fertilized planetary eggs sought forth to nest close
to where a neighboring maternal 'Sun Planet'
could provide the nurturing warmth to hatch
her offspring of evolutionary life.

The abundant afterbirth waters flowed
forming vast oceans where her fetus thrived.
'Mother Nature', midwife to creation,
thus severed the umbilical from its own
creating 'Universal Womb'.

A Glorious birth it was, for
Time Space Matter and;
their offspring of-

'Earth', Mother of All Life

Universally,
We are, all Family

Why this poem is left unread till now…? ? ? A nice analogy of the birth of time, space and matter from the womb of universe…the conceiving, zygote’s development, umbilical bond, maternal relations, mid wife…all these similes are refreshing and thoughtful…. The poem takes us to the labor room where the universe gives birth to this world…our good earth…[ We all belong to the same family, a kind message to this world as well] the evolution dealt in a very unique way…. Thank you, I am lucky to have read this one.
