As surely as day follows night
I'll someday soon be alright.
As surely as the waves rush to the shore
I'll think about you no more.

After I have dealth with the pain
I'll understand that it was'nt all in vain
After I have trod this path on my own
I'll realise just how much I've grown.

Someday soon it will happen to me
That I won't wince in your memory
Someday soon I'll meet someone new
That day for sure, I'll be over you.
