Over You Poem by Melissa Gray

Over You

Rating: 5.0

I couldn't believe it when you said it was over,

After everything we've been through,

It took me a while to regain my composure,

If only I'd known what I'd gotten myself into,

Sometimes I'll just let myself cry,

And other times I just hold it in,

I'll lay in my bed at night,

Thinking about the day you said goodbye,

I hope that you'll read this,

And want me back,

I don't think I will ever recover,

Because it's you I miss,

You're gone and I can't breathe,

You always made everything so easy,

I'm trying to hide the pain underneath,

'Cause I'm still not over you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A painfully short poem, yes, I know. Contrary to popular opinion, this poem is not about my life. I've never had a boyfriend, (My father would tan my hide!) this is another one of my 'Story Poems'.

Based on the story~ 'Chasing A Dream' ~by me. :)
