Overcomer Poem by AnaKay Rhoden

Overcomer

Rating: 2.7

You struck me yet again
and I assure you it will be your last
Take it in quickly,
the sweet smell of victory
Because it will be gone *snaps* that fast!

I've fallen enough to know
the rule of thumb
Eyes centered on Jesus
Trust me, He sees us
Don't play dumb

Look back no more
at my failures and squirm
The morning has come
and with it, the sun
A new day has dawned in my world

Wearing salvation's helmet
Holding my faith shield, that's proof
My feet shod with peace
word sword never cease
Righteous breast plate and girded with truth

I'm in constant battle mode
I already won though
It's natural being a winner
A born overcomer
Jesus made me so.
