Overcoming Poem by Connie Webb

Overcoming

Rating: 4.2

Together we can walk
Through any darkness
We don't have to stay in the same rut
We can go forward
Let's pick some weeds and call them flowers
We don't have to despair
We can have magic memories
To push away the pain
Of past tragedies
To enjoy
This world where peace can appear
If we let it.

Lovely poem Connie. It makes me think of Blake's thought of seeing heaven in a wildflower.

Connie I enjoyed reading this, because the last 4 words are definitely true. We can always push away the pain 'if we let it'. But sometimes we can push the pain away, and without warning it will come back and make us sad again. This poem is very good advice, even for me. Thanx for sharing. Barbara
