Overlapping Seasons Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Overlapping Seasons

Stubborn rust colored leaves flutter around
Melting snow flows into rivers along streets
Falling temperatures freeze the muddy ground
Footpaths are now crusted with cracking sheets

Unusual seasonal changes perplex the hours
Mounds of snow snooze as green grass grows
A red breasted robin optimistically scours
Sparking hopeful feelings from head to toes
