Packed Poem by Katherine Bryce

Packed

My bags are packed,
my heart is racing,
but yet I still decide,
to stop and look once more.

Looking around me,
i only see pain,
i no longer see the love,
that used to be here.

But whenever you think,
of my know this,
it happened for a reason,
a reason I don't know yet.

I used to see love pouring out,
but now where is it,
for all I see are shadows,
that you're hiding in.

Of course I know,
it wasn't all you,
I know that some blame,
is mine too.

There's nothing left for me,
in this gloomy old house,
and now I must leave,
and explore that world.

I reach for the handle,
as i rip my eyes away,
and glance at this new life,
that waits for me.
