Pagmamahal ng Isang Ina


Sa ating buhay ay mayroon pa kaya
Na sa ating ina'y higit pang dakila
Ina na nagtaya ng sariling buhay
Nang sa mundong ito'y tayo ay isilang

No'ng ako ay sanggol, batang maliit pa
Ay alam ni Inay pag ako'y balisa
Siya ay babangon, niya'y aalamin
Kung bakit ganoon, ano ba ang dahil
Kapag nalaman niyang ako'y nagugutom
Niya'y isusubo sa akin ang tsupon
At kapag malamig, ako ay naginaw
Ako'y mababalot ng yakap ni Inay
Kapag merong langgam siya na nakita
Agad papalisin, titirisin niya
Ang lamping nabasa, kanyang inaalis
Ang bago at tuyo kanyang ipapalit

Ako ay lumaki at na ay nag-aral
Siya pa rin ang sa landas ko'y tumatanglaw
Ako'y nagbinata, hanggang maging tao
Siya pa rin ang ilaw at tanging gabay ko
Ganyan kung paano magmahal ang ina
Wala siyang katumbas, walang hihigit pa
Ngayong siya'y malayo, meron akong hiling
Muli, sana siya ay aking makapiling
