Pain Ignored Poem by Benjamin Turner

Pain Ignored

He who holds tight to the world of grief
Feels nothing but the pain delivered
The searing of the soul grows harsh
And all life in the eyes is sucked away
He blinds himself to all
The emptiness consumes him till he is but an empty shell
He cares not for others who suffer
For he cannot get past his own suffering
He feels no remorse
Shouting to the sky his agony
But as he ignores
So to is he ignored
We created him
We shunned him
Turned him away
We gave him pain
And we have the power to take it away
But we are blind to his plight
And deaf to his shouts
For we are consumed in our own pain
And see not others
The created shall forever be as the creator
A mold never broken
A mold that is flawed
