Pain Subsiding Poem by Carissa Gom

Pain Subsiding

Rating: 3.8

Pain doesn’t subside
It fades away
like the sun
at the end of a long
summer’s day
drift - dart- dance- dissipate
eradicate
relocate
your thoughts
your heart
that’s when the pain
will start
it’s process
of fading
dulling
losing light
gaining light
in another realm
take a walk
take a breath
you will get your balance
back
one foot
then another
fading away
one breath at a time
if you think things
need a
rhyme
or
reason
don’t
because it won’t
breath in
breath out
that’s simply
what life’s
definition is
about.

Beautiful train of thoughts, well articulated and insightfully penned with conviction. The passage of time helps one adopt a better perspective in order to look down on pain. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. ➕9

Nice poem about Pain.. Pain won't go away still remain only you can forget for awhile but then it comes back again. Time heals the pain but then the scars leaves a mark.
