Paleontologist Poem by Dr PJ Raj Kamal

Paleontologist

Rating: 5.0

There once was a paleontologist lady
An amateur researcher to say strictly
She dug here and there
For fossils, everywhere
And made a graveyard of science quickly

Clever turns of thought are the limerickist's stock in trade. It's clever to say that science will become a graveyard. When the scientific habit of thought turns away from the big picture, it becomes buried in minutiae. And what changes are wrought upon one's psyche when it is confronted with reminders of death and extinction day in and day out?
