Paradise Poem by Kasia Fedyk

Paradise

Paradise, I've been there many times.
When the sun sets on the horizon,
like a fireball looks at me straight in my eyes,
paradise.

When the moon changes its shape and becomes this silver crescent,
wanting to play with me in her gentle manner,
stars aline right next to her,
keeping her company and sparkle to give her extra light so
she can glow,
she loves them so,
paradise, you know.

When the rain falls down like an orchestra playing music,
each tune washes away dirt,
cleansing, purifying,
I submerge myself in those crystals,
dancing in the rain like a fool, laughing hysterically,
socked to the bone, I want to do it again, over and over...
need I say it twice,
paradise.

When my lovers soul touches my lips, kissing it gently,
oh so gently, I melt like ice in the summers heat,
my heart beats fast, so fast, at last,
flames in paradise.

When the bird, sitting on the branch,
cleaning his feathers as I watch,
he stops for a second,
he knows he is beautiful,
he is wearing a red jacket,
his wings a touch of silver,
a little blue accents his tail,
some yellow afterglow come forth as the sun rays peek through the tree,
he is glowing,
he decides to share with me this song he has been working on,
I get lost in the sound of his music,
its composed with such perfection,
I can see he is so proud and happy to share this new piece with me, and I find myself in eyes of
paradise.

I like it. it reminds me, for some reason, of being up late, at a party in twilight. That's my paradise anyway :)
