Paradise Within Poem by Rik Bertrand

Paradise Within

There are a lot of old saying about a book and its cover,
And how one can tell if a friend is a lover.
But know really knows what lies deep down inside,
The heart of a loved one, who's secrets we confide.

The suface of life can be plain and consoling,
Sometimes it can even be over controlling.
deep down in side there is something that's waiting,
something in life that you are creating.

Close you eyes and look deep in that well,
You must experience it quickly. there is no time to dwell
See the Paradise that you hold deep within
And you will know that you are your own best friend.

Don't judge that book by the cover you see,
The water in that well is a vast open sea.
Experience the paradise the lies deep within
And you will be happy to your very end.

REB (JUNE 2012) Everyone has a little paradise somewhere within themselves.
