Paranoia Poem by Xavier Larracuente

Paranoia

It creeps at me again,
as if it was an old friend,
it knows exactly what I fear,
and tells me that it's no use,
'Fate' it says,
'You can't avoid it'
I begin to realize just how murky this darkness that I stand in is,
but what am I to do,
I carry my fears like ankle weights,
jingling loudly everywhere I go just so people can here them,
why am I like this?
I thought I rejected fear...
