Parents Poem by Benson Don

Parents

You came and lived your live.
As a neccessary but not compulsory
part of your lives
you brought us
into this ball of obscurity.
Instead of guiding us
to run the race of life
you want to run for us.

You treat us like puppets
forgetting we have our lives,
dreams and emotions.
You sincerely
don't want us to err
but your approaches
push us astray.

Be our friend,
build character into us
and let's live our lives
because when you're no more
we gonna face the world alone
and it's character
that'll keep us afloat.
