Parkhead Poem by Daniel McDonagh

Parkhead

Unfold the flags of green & white
As songs of Celtic echo through the night,
Clear Glasgow’s grey sky into a day of shine,
The road to Parkhead is a friend of mine.

Let the fans arrive in there thousands
As they’ve made their way to Milan and Lisbon,
Let them gather within Brother Walfrid’s home
And greet the players with a Celtic song.

To see heroes of our hearts is but a delight,
How we wished we could play for the green & white,
God’s own voice can be heard amongst the crowd,
As the voice of Celtic is sung out loud.
