Part-Time Poem by Jayne Doe

Part-Time

I'm trying not to hate you, love
But some feelings I can't rise above

I hope you know I wish they'd end
But they come with all my part-time friends

I give you more, you give me less
Nothing left for me to spend

So I must leave before I'm gone
Though some might think that I am wrong

It hurts too much for me to stay
So I'm packing up and going away

But before I go, you ought to know
I do not really hate you so

I love you, dear, I really do
I only wish you'd love me too
