Pass By Poem by Aine Carroll

Pass By

I seen you today really seen you.
Broken down unable nothing like you used to be.
Did you see me whole and stable.

You were smaller then you used to be.
Withered broken and moribund.
I am bigger then you are too me,
full of life, alive and having fun.

You couldn't look me in the eye.
I wonder why.
Is it guilt and shame that makes you lame
as I passed by.

I seen you really seen you for the first time today.
Your no longer a hidden past, something that should not have passed.
You are a user and a down and out abuser
But I passed by.
