Past Meets Present Poem by Tiger Lily Love

Past Meets Present

I'll never forget the day
My past came waltzing into my present

Wanting to reignite
What I once thought was love

Seeming to have forgotten
How he broke my heart
And left me to drown
In a pool of my own blood

Not much had changed
And when he touched me
Sparks flew
Temporarily disguising
The storm that had started to brew

The storm of my heart
One so desperate
So treacherous
It almost tore me apart

I looked at him once more
And I knew what I had to do
It became crystal clear to me
That I had to dismiss you

You looked at me with those eyes
And thought I'd fall prey to you once again
But I shoved out of my present
Back into the past where you belong

Refusing to be that naive little girl
You once so easily strung along

In a pool of my own blood You looked at me with those eyes And thought I'd fall prey to you once again But I shoved out of my present Back into the past where you belong Great, caotivating beginning and nice illustrations and imagery.
