It was real..
What we had was real..
I was in love with you
And you were in love with me..

It was never a game or a lie or something to pass time..
We were really in love..
And maybe that's why it hurts like this..
Because after all that, after all this, it's over, we're over.
Because we were in love and it was beautiful.
Because from now on, everything we were,
Everything we've ever felt,
Every story we've ever written
Will all just be in past tense..

It was real..
What we had was real..

And you were in love with me..
