Path Of My Heart Poem by Vlad Mutuleanu

Path Of My Heart

Rating: 5.0

As time passes by,
Carrying me on his immortal shoulders
The only dream I have
Is of heavenly greatness.

I´m not afraid of death
Or its cold grip of insanity,
The only thing I fear
Is my vanishing humanity.

This world has always been chaotic
But now, it´s only crazy
The dream that once was perfect,
Ruined by its own creator.

Why for every step I take
There is another waiting
And for every answer
There are a million questions.

But even if
I find an answer,
How do I know
That I put the right question.

When everything I know
Is turned over,
In this self-centered world
Who have I become?

The weight on my shoulders
Is heavy, yet invisible
And if I believe in hope
It will be, no more than a feather.

Is it fate or coincidence
That build our path?
I don´t know
But I will like to find out.

One thing I know though,
Is that everthing`s unsure,
I can never foresee the future
Or what`s right or wrong.

And the courage to carry on
I will not find within my head
Cuz he`s a coward,
It´s my heart, that is a warrior.

So I will keep on going
To where is necessary
And if my path is at an end,
I`ll build one, even greater.

I won`t give up,
I will trust my heart
And wherever it may lead me
I will know that it is right.

Wow! ! Absolutely reminds me of The Hunger Games novel where Peeta establishes that he must die as himself not as a cruel and altered creation, relating to The only thing I fear Is my vanishing humanity. Every action of the people is of the moment and essential as they don't know what to expect. When they think the games are over or when they're winning and saved, they are only met with intensified chaos. Katniss' world is forever altered, much of it destroyed, and she questions what the games have done to her, the people, and other victors. Being the flame of revolution, there is so much weighing upon her. There are so many people who need her to be strong and act. The strings of hope she beholds are often disintegrated when loved ones pass and change. I love how your relate that thinking often leads to cowardice while remaining true to the heart takes people far and well on their path. I`ll build one, even greater. And wherever it may lead me I will know that it is right. So strong and empowering. Great memories. Thank you!
