The path to success
is not always easy for you
for it is filled with bushes, thorns
and snakes all through.

It may be foggy – not easy to see,
it may be slippery – you may fall easily.
It may be a dauntingly uphill path
and may tire you out and make you want to retreat.

But if you stay close to your focus
looking straight ahead and if you do not stray,
your path shall be easy, clear and full of cheer.
Worry not how far the path is - for you may be very near.

There may be short-cuts aplenty
tempting you to take one.
But remember that the longer route
is always better in the longer run.

With a steely grit and a song in your heart,
with a strong will and a resolve to go on
with hard work and single-mindedness,
you’ll find it easy to trudge along.

And soon you shall see ahead
despite all bushes, thorns and snakes -
your chosen path is the one
that has led you to Success.
