Pathways Of Life Poem by Sara Amidon

Pathways Of Life

Rating: 5.0

I stood upon a mountain
Gazed down to look upon
The future that might lie ahead for me
The positives and the wrongs

Paths to travel down
I saw there seemed a plenty
Some short, and others long
Some filled with life
And some that seemed so empty

As I walked down the mountain side
I passed the one by one
Gazing down their pathways
Most seemed unfinished and undone

There were ones that were filled with hate
Horrible pain
And a lot of strife
I knew if I traveled down those
I would have a short and meaningless life

Others seemed quite plain
Dull, quite, and unused
To walk down those long pathways
I absolutely refused

Then I came upon
The most spectacular path I’d seen
The tranquility of it all
Everything seemed just so serene

This path, it showed me life
How I could live it to the fullest
A beautiful utopia
Filled with love, life, and goodness.
