Patience Poem by Cindy Rheeder

Patience

Do you catch your breath,
Like I do when you look my way?
When you smile the way you do
When our eyes meet across the room?
I’m willing to wait,
And I know that’s probably a mistake,
I wish I knew
Where I reside in your heart,
Maybe I have a special place?
Seeing your hazel grin,
Makes my knees go weak,
And I think to myself,
I’m willing to wait for you.
Do you ever stay awake at night,
Like I do thinking about only you?
When will I let this silly dream end,
Or is it ment to be this way?
I am willing to wait,
I know it’s a mistake,
To love you so early,
I know that I can’t drown how I feel,
And it’s something I just have for you,
And I wish I could see me through your eyes,
And feel where it is I reside in your heart.
