Patience

I waited a lifetime
for someone to hold
I was patient and
learned what i was told

you came from no where
and at first i watched you go
then you stopped and looked
just as i was told

you made me laugh
you reminded me to live
you gave me a hope
that i had love to give

i waited a lifetime.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
