Patience Poem by Dustin Burel

Patience

Rating: 3.3

Open your eyes,
And listen to your heart,
Before it’s too late,
And things can’t restart,

I stand here in a shadow,
Hoping you’ll choose,
Before you’re too far,
And my heart you will lose,

It’s a horrible thing,
To be told you must decide,
But it something that must be done,
Your feelings will hide,

So open your eyes,
And look who’s been there,
When one had you cornered,
And one only cared,

I respect your own time,
Patience I will give,
But things must go on,
I have a life to live,

All I only wish,
Is when I walk away,
I’ll be walking with you,
In hopes of a better day.
