Patriotism is not mere party loyalty
It is fast pulse-beat of national unity
Patriotism is not racially-bred
It is a nationalistic heart thread
Patriotism is not party political ideology
It is living the principles of democracy
Patriotism is not inherent right to abuse power
Its right rests within the heart of people-power
Patriotism is not getting benefits from your country
It is about benefits you can give to your country
Patriotism is not leadership plundering nation’s wealth
It is statesmen living their lives, building nation’s health
Patriotism is not being immune to corruption
It is will to rid of socio-economic cancer of the nation
Patriotism is not blind herd-following
It is courage to stand for ideals you believe in
Patriotism is not carrying a party’s flag high
It is about united people holding the nation’s flag high
Patriotism is not ignorance of the sacred Constitution
It is protecting, defending the very soul of the nation
Patriotism is not demanded or coerced by politicians
It is grown in the very hearts and souls of citizens
Patriotism is not an lofty escape from responsibilities
It is about a leader laying down his life for nation’s security

Patriots dream of nation’s future
Politicians dream their secured departure
Patriots are living emblems of true statesmen
Weak leaders talk about it, their stay threatened
Patriots love serving their country
The corrupt steal people’s money
Patriotic statesmen by far few
But the corrupt, stand in cue
