Peace And Quiet Poem by Tius Edward

Peace And Quiet

Rating: 4.5

Along the road, and weary tread,
The long, hard way I fight,
But day's long night, I lay in bed,
And find my peace and quiet.

But before I lay, I'm on my knees
And head is bowed, I start to pray
Of how to learn to cross the seas
And fight another day.

My Father answers, hand in hand,
And shows me the way;
And sometime I'll be in another land,
But that is for another day.

Now I wake; it is the morn,
For the sun is shining bright;
I pray again, not to be torn,
But to keep fighting the good ol' fight.

Others before me, have ended their day,
And lives in God's sight;
So now no more, I have to say,
Having found my peace and quiet.

A great way to start the day as well as end the day, bowed down on one's knees.
