Pearl Harbor {A Metaphoric Adaptation In Honor of Independence Day, July 4th,2013}

It came upon my Mind abirth
god, Ra, had launched himself to earth,
bearing embers of travesty-
a day to last in 'Infamy'.

No tme to fear this hive of B's,
no time to pray that Ra thus, heed
and, be transfigurated to -
a goddess of accord and rue.

But, NO! Instead large metal birds
swung low, stung hard, like rabid herds
of crows upon a branchless stead -
in mornings fog that veiled the dead..

Now, rows of Crosses, curved in flux
that time and nature have subluxed,
and, looking like St. Bridgette's Cross -
on sacred ground, Pearl Harbors loss.
