Pearls Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Pearls

Pearls

Best pearls come from us
Meaning, of Persian Gulf
Two pearls came to my life
One taught me: "Down with Shah! "
Kept secrets other one…

It was time of revolt
I too, was taking part
In Kan, came a mullah
Gave lecture, as final
Slogan: "Marg bar Shah! "

To me was, my first time
First is hard with shiver
On backbone sits sweat
I felt it like flood…

Where is he?
I never heard of him
Is he too on the run?
From those of his kind
With power gone corrupt!

I guess those who were right
Risked what had and their lives
And escape was reward
But those in positions
As always are liars!

Other Pearl worked for me
Wrote and read our secrets
Was trained for her job
Bravo and well-done!
