People Talk Poem by Alexis R.

People Talk

People Talk
they say, are you ok?
I smile, ya i'm fine
If they only knew
I hated my life and wanted to leave
To end it all with just one simple stroke
Then I think,
If I do this, I can't go back
The things I will miss
My nephew, chasing him around the house
My niece, holding her close to my heart
Talking with friends
Jess, Bre, our late night chats
but most of all my family
Melisa, Jed, Erika, my dad
Not to mention various cousins, ants, and uncles
The cookouts, reunions, and even just the talks
How could I do this?
Make them go through this all over
These the reasons I hold on
I think to myself
What would my mom do?
What would she want?
She would say
I love you and I just want you to be happy
I will see you again
Someday
