Perception Poem by connie crane

Perception

I am alone with my perception.
Though every book I read,
Is a source of information,
And everyone I meet,
Brimming with revelation,
I am the only one with my perception.
No matter how true the truth is.
I will always perceive it,
Just like this.
Because I am the only one with my perspective.

Though my perspective may change,
I will never think like you do.
Because I cannot see the truth
through,
Any eyes but mine.
So if you think I am missing it,
Or falling short of true perfection,
You may be right.
But then again....
That is only your perception.
