Perception Poem by segun Johnson Ozique

Perception

The longer one lives
The more travels one has made: scenario
Seen, been in; the stranger the exploits,
The slower one is liable to pronounce;
Impossible! is this and that or such: Is,
Unlikely to cast prudence to the wind

For though truth is stranger than fiction
Is, invariable more likely to be jeered
Less likely to be believed than sham
Only folks drunk with foolishness, would
Go about being cocksure of such things
They have no ground or degree of certitude
