Perfect Poem by Charlotte Reyner

Perfect

Rating: 4.0

I put on my pretty smile,
Trying to hide the tears inside.
The perfect clothes, the perfecr hair,
But inside, I don't care.
I hide behind these jagged lies,
Hiding true feelings in my eyes.
Deep inside me, I can't explain,
My life, My pain.
I hide behind my perfect life,
Somehow I must get out.
Out of the world, out of this life,
I must get out.
Outside of 'me' the 'we' the 'them'
Because truly no one is a gem.
So I never shall awake,
because this life, It's mine to take.

The music, it saves me, my life
Saves me from this jagged knife.
Through my body, through my soul,
Trying to reach a common goal.
So try to love, don't be so mean,
Or is it all just a dream?
The dream, the music,
saves my life,
Saves me from this jagged knife.
